Here's an interesting idea, create two microwave antennas, connected by a flimsy bridge that can't support the amount of energy flowing through it, which leads to the bridge igniting. And of course, make it out of fruit.

How you do it:

Step 1:  Get a nice big green grape (you can substitute a purple one if you feel the need, but green ones are seedless and easier to use).  It should look something like this X.

Step 2:  In the center of the grape make a horizontal cut.  Cut thru the entire grape, EXCEPT for a  small section of the skin so that you now have this  .

Step 3:  Place the grape in your microwave, so that the sliced side faces either up or down, as long as it doesn't lay on its side.

Step 4:  Close the microwave door, put about 15 seconds on the timer, and press start.  In 5-10 seconds you should notice a bright light emanating from the thin skin connecting the grape halfs. It'll start out like this . Leave it in for the full 15 seconds, it might go out and start up again.

Step 5: Point and laugh hysterically.

Step 6: Repeat steps 1-5 until it becomes boring.
